Abstract:

Minimalism in ubiquitous interface design allows computational augmentations to seamlessly coexist with unmodified artifacts and the constellations of task behaviors surrounding them. Specifically, parsimony and transparency contribute to improved learnability and user acceptance of novel interfaces.
